Meet the Horses

We collaborate with the Equus Elemental horse herd as teachers and guides in facilitated interactions during our workshops and seminars. When we are traveling away from our herd’s locations, we partner with other horses in an effort to create an ever growing community of equine resources for this profound work.

Banjo

Banjo is a colorful Missouri Fox Trotter with personality plus. He is extremely playful and curious, and doesn’t hesitate amusing himself and others. He is very eager to find out who you are and what you’re all about. He relishes exhibiting his strong leadership abilities over the mares in the herd in a very clear and effective way.

Biscuit

Biscuit is a three year old Rocky Mountain Gaited horse and the youngest member of the herd. But don’t let his age fool you. He is wise beyond his years. He has such a sweet disposition and an uncanny ability to empathize with people’s feelings - especially those around self esteem and confidence.

Blaze

Blaze is an American Mustang who was born wild and lived among his band for his first two years.  Smart and strong, he asks much of his human partners, but his genuine curiosity and compassion are revealed once he feels you are truly present with him in the moment.

Mrs.Brown

Mrs. Brown is a quarter horse mare who can appear to be a bit stand-offish at first. After all, she does not go by her first name. But don’t misunderstand, she longs for and responds quickly to one who can communicate with integrity and clear intentions.

Sierra

Sierra is a quarter horse mare who began as a reining horse and was bred twice to a champion reining horse stallion. She is sweet, tolerant, and has a big heart, and will relinquish her lead mare position to participants with an open heart and calm focus.

Spanish dancer

Dancer is a registered Arabian, daughter of LL Bluesprice Llaman a top ten four year old stallion and grand-daughter of Lamolin a two-time U.S. National top ten stallion. She is a sweet mare who doesn’t allow her pedigree to go to her head, but is also spirited and intelligent requiring strong leadership from those around her.

Zena

Zena is a percheron/quarter horse lead mare standing almost 17 hands high.  Known for her gentle, soulful eyes and profound ability to connect with people and open their hearts, she is a participant favorite.

Zip

Zip is a quarter horse/thoroughbred cross who started his work with people guiding pack-trips in the Rocky Mountains.   He is the patient, intelligent leader of his herd with a willing nature known for his depth of heart and strength of character.
